Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. I've been so busey with school and band lately. But mainly I wanted to update you guys on how things are going with me and the AP art class I'm taking this year. Pretty much this class is turning into nothing I was hoping for. But I guess I didn't really know what to expect, or really have any idea what I was getting myself into. I technically wasn't sopost to be able to take this class, because I was sopost to take aret 1, 2 and 3 first before I could take AP studio art, but my teacher let me jump up to AP art because I'm a senior and he thinks I can handle it. But I have such a long ways to go to catch up. At the end of the year we are sending porfolios to Saint Louis to be looked at by profesionals. And they are grading them on a scale of 1 to 5. 5 being the best, 1 the worst, and if I get a 5 or a 4, I could get a scolarship to an art school, which I need desperatly! But the thing is I can't send in any anime type art work. They are only interested in classical art, which is what I totally suck at. As you can see from my gallery, I don't do much of it. Like landscapes, realizim, surealizim, portraits and stuff like that... My teacher says a have to work really hard to catch up and get better at these things if I am going to send them in my portfolio at the end of the year! *sigh* I need this scholarship more than any thing, and I've never wanted something this bad in my life. I want to go to a good art college. It's my dream.

gah.... what bugs me though, is you'd think I'd be ok, with my art teacher being there and stuff, and helping me. Well, he's not the nicest guy. He's rude, and has favorits in the class (I'm not one of them) and totally only helps them with their art work, and encourages them, but totally ignores me and another girl in the class( probably because we draw anime... -_-) but yeah. Its very hard to get help from him, because he's so negative, and dosen't explain things very well. He arrogant, and proud... and he only paints for money, which totally ticks me off. He seriously told me he's only into art for the money. I asked him and he said he dosen't even paint from inspiration or anything. I can tell that he dosen't have compashion for what he dose, or really love it the way I do... cause like... its weird for me to explain this. But like for me. I draw some times completly on inspiation. My inspiration comes to me in a weird way too. Some times when I'm listening to like pretty insturmental music I just see things... like visions. Its hard to explain. but yeah. My art comes from my heart. I paint because I love it. Not because I want to make some mula. gahhh... it just bugs me... Cause like ever since I was little, I've always dreamed of having an amazing art teacher who was really supportive and encouraged me in my art. Some one who I looked up to, and was inspired by their art. I don't feel that way about my teacher at all... *sigh* This is just not what I was hoping for...

I'm just really stressed right now in that class. I don't know what to do.

I was wondering though, if any of my friends on here who do draw and paint landscapes and realistic stuff, if they have like any pointers or ideas or adive for me that might help me with this. I'm so clueless when it comes to classical art. I need help!
